The Biggest Loser - News - Week 9
Harry gets another chance
Friday, 14 April 2006
The old contestants are well aware of the hostility towards them from the final three. Today they would have a new member in the house competing against them. Adro, Kristie and Fiona looked reserved and "stand offish" when the weigh-in where about to begin. First Jo climbed the scales and Kristie was hoping for the worst. Jo lost 2 kilos and she was happy with it. Cat's turn was next and since she is heavier than Jo bigger numbers were very possible. But Cat lost a mere 0.9kgs and afterwards said she was relieved of the outcome and a part of her wanted to get back home and continue her routine. Harry stepped on next and feeling a bit nervous since the fact you can work really hard but it might not show in kilos. The scale is showing a total of 10.7kgs weight-loss - really amazing! Harry is obviously very happy about it but no one shares his joy. In fact in an act of disrespect the finalists throw their shirts on the floor and when he joins them they step behind him. We can understand that they might think it is unfair but then again Harry has and is loosing a lot of weight and isn't that what the game was supposed to be about? Please join us on the forum to have your say.

3km sand dune super challenge
Thursday, 13 April 2006
With the old contestants back in the game puts the finalists out of their comfort zone. It has been hard competition in the work outs along the old contestants. Cat is wondering if she really made the right decision in coming back. She almost faints in the gym of low blood sugar levels. Cat talks to Jillian and about the issues with food she has had all her life. Today it's a super challenge for the old contestants only. Bob takes Fiona, Adro and Kristie out on lunch together for some well deserved time off. The discuss about who they hope don't return to the house after the super challenge. Fiona thinks Jo is very strong and so is Harry. Adro would be relieved if Harry and Shane don't make it back. Kristie thinks Jo, Harry and Shane are all very competitive. Bob sees the potential in Harry.
Back at the dunes it is time to see which three contestants made the right choices. Harry is in after picking the can of tomatoes. Jo is also in. Artie and Shane both made wrong choices. And it lies between Ruth and Cat. Cat is in. So tomorrow Harry, Jo and Cat will join the other three in weigh-in.
New/old contestants have to show their fitness level
Wednesday, 12 April 2006
Bob & Jillian still unaware of the arrival of old contestants discuss what training the should perform on the final three. They are in for a surprise and Jillian shows her discontentment openly. "I have an allegiance to these three since they have played the game and come this far". Harry thinks to himself "What a start" (un welcomed). Jillian believes it is unfair and that she now will miss out on the "one on one" time she has developed with the final three. Bob takes the old contestants to the gym to test their fitness levels. "They are not on the exact same level as the final three but very impressive" he said. Jillian takes Fiona, Adro and Kristie outside for exercise and encourage them to pay little notice to what happens in the house but to focus on their weight loss and exercise. Bob and Jillian take a break with their groups when Jo involves Kristie in an argument. Kristie had apparently said that she now sees Jo as a threat since loosing so much weight and Jo takes it the wrong way. They both walk away after a while of holding everyone up. Bob takes the new group to the "hill" where he has pushed the final three many many times. Cat is not up for it and wines eventually sitting down on the ground. Bob is thinking "What is she doing taking up my time like this? When I can use it on helping someone determined". Later Bob and Jillian swap their groups and Bob takes Fiona, Adro and Kristie for an hour run while Jillian work the others in the gym.
Tomorrow the contestants are up for a challenge and have to proved their worth.
They're back!!!
Tuesday, 11 April 2006
The new "twist" in the game, all the old contestants want back into the house and a chance to win. Kristie is not thrilled to see Wal there being able to stand in her way. Artie is exited to see Fiona and so is she. David, who was the first one to get voted off is there in a lighter version than before. Harry "Seeing the house again brought back good and bad memories". They will compete against each other for a place along Adro, Fiona and Kristie. But before they can they have to prove their weight-loss since being eliminated. Anyone who has put on weight will go home then and there. Shane doesn't have to weigh himself since he hasn't even been able to leave the house since being eliminated yesterday. Ruth is first up and shows a 3.2kgs weight loss since leaving the house. Wal is called next and everyone have their expectations high but after the two weeks outside Wal has gained 0.8kgs. Everyone is shocked, him as well and he has to leave feeling embarrassed. Artie shows a -6.3kgs weight loss and happy to be back he compliments the last standing on their achievements. Artie: "I was going to ask Adro out on a date! They look so good". Harry's turn to step on the scales and show a 8kg weight loss. Cat has lost a staggering 13.6kgs since leaving the house. Jo has lost 12.1kgs and David has lost 12.1kgs. They will all be let in the house. Tracy had declined the invitation to get back in the game for unknown reasons.
After the weigh in the contestants catch up things. Kristie is very relieved that Wal will not join them. Shane thinks he position is to his advantage since he didn't even have a chance to leave before coming back.
Tomorrow Bob and Jillian find out the new arrivals. They will join them in the gym and prove their willingness to get back into the game. After the weigh-in Shane faced the fact that Adro did get more out of Camp Eden. Kristie & Adro have one vote each to decide who will go home. In case of a split vote Fiona with the least amount of weight loss will go home. Kristie is looking forward to her chance to eliminate Shane, something she wanted to do since the first week. Shane is a steady competitor with big numbers behind him and therefore a bigger threat than Fiona. Kristie is baffled what Adro is planning to do and his loyalty to Shane at this point in the game. She says to Adro that Shane is a much bigger threat and therefore stands in the way for Adro's chance to win. The decision will lie in Adro's hands and he says "he'd like to be a man of his word" but will he?
Shane eliminated & old contestants back in the game!
Monday, 10 April 2006
Shane & Fiona is looking nervous as they sit by the elimination table. First time for Shane but not for Fiona. Kristie lay the first vote and goes on and on about how great this person is... she votes for Shane. She then tells Shane that "I promised myself not to cry today". So untrue to hint that she had an emotion behind her vote since she couldn't be and look happier. Adro is puzzled and quiet he says "I don't feel noble about what I'm about to do, but this person should be proud due to the fact I'm shit scared of them". Adro votes for Shane. Shane smiles and makes the gesture off a plane crashing down. He turns to Fiona and says "I told you so". AJ aks for his comments on how he feel. Shane tells us that he told Adro "Do what you need to do". He then says "Personally I don't break my word after I have made a bond with someone". That doesn't make it any easier on Adro and his guilt. Shane says he is going to miss Jillian the most. Shane now trying to hold back his tears "She has helped me get my confidence back". Shane says his goodbye and embrace Adro the longest.
After Shane is gone Kristie feels extremely good about how this are going now to her advantage. Adro feels bad about breaking his word but he is along with Fiona starting to realise that it's pretty awesome they are still in the game. Wonder if Kristie is getting a bit too self confident. Adro, Kristie & Fiona receive their audition tapes and are shocked of what they see. You can really see the difference on all of them. Adro says he was "grossly disturbed" to watch himself. After comparing with the old them, the contestants try on their old clothes they wore when they came to the house. Everything they try on is hanging loose.
Bob & Jillian walks into the gym and Jillian is sad to see Shane gone "I love Shane he is such a wonderful person". The contestants give them the heads up of their weight loss except for Fiona. She is ashamed of her 0.8kg weight gain and scared of what Bob will think. The pressure is high and she starts to cry. Bob says everything will be fine, they will check that her diet is in line etc. Bob comforts sobbing Fiona and she feels better.
The trainers tells us who they think will win. Jillian says without hesitation "Kristie, I knew it from the very beginning". Bob says that "I'd like to see one of the girls win" but that he'd also like to see Adro up there as the biggest loser.
The contestants are in for a surprise when they meet AJ outside in front of the gate. No one has any idea what they are waiting for and what they are in for. They see Shane walking up with his arms crossed and what seems like minutes then they see Ruth! then Wal! until all the old contestants are there. Everyone but Tracy. Wal and Harry look like they have lost heaps. The game has changed one old contestants will be able to gain their seat back in the house if successful. The old arrivals seem to stir back old betrayals and Kristie is in the hot seat.
