Red team won this week's weigh-in
Friday, 10 March 2006

This weeks weigh-in was a nerve wrecker. The Blues had the "privilege" to choose which member on the Red team should sit out the weigh-in. "We've chosen Wal" said Harry. It might have sounded good - but oh boy they were in for a surprise. The usual big weight-loser Wal only lost 500grams!! Claims afterwards he drank plenty before the weigh-in to add the kilos. All other contestants were pretty average on the loss. Shane and Ruth leading the biggest loser. In the end Harry had to step forward and do the walk towards the scale. He had to loose 6.4kg to for the Blue team to win weigh-in. It was completely silent, the moment of truth: 1.3kg! Poor Harry will most likely be gone on Mondays elimination. He should have eaten those chocolates...

Stair race from hell
Thursday, 09 March 2006

The Red team gets heads up from Jillian with choosing the right takeaway at subway. Today's challenge was a race up 68 stairs, each team member had to do 25 laps each. Red team needed to sit one out and whoever pulled the shortest straw was sitting - unfortunately Wal pulled the shortest. Bob and Jillian was there to support their teams along with him. The less heavy Blue team definitely had the advantage in this competition. Fiona and Tracy powered up same with Kristie and Adro. Ruth was struggling hard but Shane the most (vomiting) and medics had to come and check on him. Both Kristie and Adro fought mentally during the challenge and needed Jillian's encourage and 'interrogation-solving'. The blue team put an end to the Red teams misery after completing the 100 laps. The Blue team are now in charge off choosing which Red team member sits out tomorrows weigh-in.

What's on Friday, 10 March 2006:
Kitchen is back for the Red team. The teams are in the gym working away and preparing for the weigh-in. Will the Blue team make the right decision which red team member sits out or will the face elimination on Monday.

Harry on thin ice
Wednesday, 08 March 2006

Today's temptation was chocolates and boxes of them! All contestants were blindfolded with a box of chocolates in front of them. If you didn't have any - you got to see a DVD from your loved ones, if you choose to eat - immunity was up for grabs for the one eating the most. Adro was playing with the wrappers making noises. Harry was contemplating the last 5 mins... no one else touched them...but Fiona ended up eating 19!! She claimed she needed immunity and had to play for it. It seems quite obvious that Harry would be the one going next, as his exclusion from the blue alliance.

After the temptation. Tears and joy among the contestants that watched their DVDs. Bob walks in to the Blue team and confronts the alliance with "how aggressively they play makes him wonder why he is there??" and saying that voting off Cat was the most stupidest thing the alliance have done. And voting off Harry will be the next. The alliance seemed quiet about it but everyone knew the truth. If the blue team loses Fridays weigh-in Harry faces the aggressive alliance for the last time.

Blue team beat the odds
Tuesday, 07 March 2006

Both teams wake up to discover the kitchen locked down and takeaway menus scattered on the bench. For a whole week the teams faces ordering takeaway for all meals and the whole week!!! Tricky. Everyone’s concern is that you never know what you get with takeaway food and how it’s prepared. Bob and Jillian advices their teams to always state your requirements in the preparation of the food - you are the paying customer they should comply.

Artie's injury gets all clear by the medics just in time to support his team on today’s challenge. Each team are competing against each other in an endurance test by riding on gym bikes. The team that travels the furthest during 4hrs (!) wins the luxury of having a chef preparing healthy food for them the whole week (Avoiding the takeaway danger). One red team member has to sit this challenge. A calorie quiz will decide you has the power to decide which red team member sits. Blue team gets the calories right and chooses Wal (surprise, surprise) to sit the challenge. Blue team also wins the close challenge with 138.7 km over the red team (129.5km).

While the blue team awaits their freshly prepared food, the red team dines in the takeaway jungle and Kristie shows her concerns over Adro’s and Shane’s food choices.

Cat eliminated - Blue team alliance comes forward
Monday, 06 March 2006

It doesn't make sense Cat is gone!! As one of the biggest and therefore most likely to lose the kilos needed for the weigh-in, the Blue team probably did not make the most sensible decision. Harry was very disappointed and tried to change the alliance (un-strategic) minds but with no luck. Bob was probably the most shocked by the fact that they voted Cat off. Said that she was one of ' the biggest on the show and needed to be there'. What is the blue team facing now with this weeks weigh-in? Looks like hard hard work for Fiona (lightest weight), Tracy, Artie and Harry.
